I am a writer with a practice rooted in history, folklore, and cultural memory. My work explores intersections between traditions, mythologies, and lived experience, often drawing on archival research, oral storytelling, and cross-cultural inquiry. I work across writing, performance, and design, creating theatre that reinterprets historical knowledge for contemporary audiences.

•Seven Worlds

A full-length interdisciplinary play drawing on Scottish and global folklore. The piece weaves theatre, movement, and multimedia forms to explore a soul journeying through multiple lives, centuries, and universes in search of a lost connection. As the soul begins to return to previous bodies and worlds, the play examines shifting identities, memory, and the forces that pull us toward – or away from – one another.

A site-specific walking play rooted in the history of Aylesbury. The piece follows Gessi, a guardian spirit who has watched over the town for two millennia, maintaining the delicate balance between past and present. When a dangerous memory resurfaces in the living world, Gessi’s role is thrown into crisis, prompting a journey through the town’s architecture, landscapes, and layered histories. Interweaving historical research with playful mythology, the play examines how places carry emotional and cultural memory, and how communities are shaped by the stories they inherit.

An original short story written for Aylesbury’s local radio station. The piece, based on historical research, was written to promote Big Gessi, offering a taste of the play, while leaving the plot of Big Gessi intact.

An audio walking play drawing on English folklore. The piece follows a mysterious stranger whose arrival excites a small community, seen through the eyes of a young woman who perceives the truth behind his outward charm. As her quiet observations track the stranger’s story, the work explores themes of trust, perception, and the hidden narratives that can bind or divide us. Blending immersive sound design with theatrical storytelling, the play invites audiences to navigate space, memory, and folklore in a deeply atmospheric, participatory experience.

Blending personal testimony with theatrical storytelling, it reflects on how individuals move through the stages of life and how memory shapes our understanding of the past, present, and future.
